How to Unlock Best Cyberware for Characters in Cyberpunk 2077
Militech Apogee Sandevistan – Operating System Cyberware
With Sandevistan Cyberware, V can temporarily slow down time and neutralize enemies before they can move or attack. There are several different variants that have different passive bonuses. The Militech Apogee Sandevistan slows time by 85%, adding 10% extra headshot damage, 14% extra Crit Chance, and 13% extra Crit Damage while active.
With time slowed by 85%, enemies can barely move, and V can easily score several high-damage headshots to wipe out entire groups of enemies in a few seconds. Best of all, neutralizing an enemy extends the time warp effect and restores some of V’s Stamina. It’s one of the best implants in the game for builds with high Reflexes.
Biomonitor - Circulatory System Cyberware
The Biomonitor is a Cyberware that automatically heals 30% of your health when your health drops to a critical 15%. However, it has a cooldown period of 240 seconds before it can be used again.
Despite the cooldown, the recent update has made important changes in the healing system, allowing healing items to replenish over time. This means healing-related Cyberware will come in handy in this update, especially if you prefer playing aggressively and taking risks.
Mantis Blades - Arm Cyberware
The absolute best and most iconic Cyberware in the game has to be the Mantis Blades. The blades come out of your arms and allow you to slice and dice your enemies with ease. You can even lunge at targets by holding down the attack button. There is also a unique kill animation with this attack.
With the legendary variant, there is an added 20% chance to apply whatever damage type is applied to the Mantis Blades. These absolute units can be purchased from the Ripperdoc in Wellsprings.
Reinforced Tendons- Leg Cyberware
Reinforced Tendons sounds like it might be a fairly boring upgrade compared to knives for arms, but it actually unlocks one of the game’s best moves: the Double Jump. A video game mainstay, Cyberpunk 2077 includes the classic Double Jump function as an upgrade for V’s legs, where you can choose to either install the Tendons for Double Jump, or unlock Fortified Ankles for Charged Jump instead. Since there’s only one Leg slot available, you have to make a choice. Double Jump is more controlled and flexible than Charged Jump, so that’s the one you should go for.
Unlike a lot of the upgrades, there’s no rarity tiers to Reinforced Tendons. They’re classified as Rare, and will set you back 45,000 eddies, which can feel like a lot at the start of the game. However, this is a one-time purchase and makes reaching vantage points or finding objectives much easier, so the earlier you invest, the more useful this cyberware will be.
Kerenzikov - Nervous System
Kerenzikov is Cyberware for the nervous system, and there are four different versions of it available at different rarites (and different prices). They all accomplish the same goal, however: Slowing time while you’re sliding or dodging for a brief second. The uncommon variant pictured above slows time by 60% for 1.8 seconds while you’re sliding or dodging, while the legendary version — which costs six times as much — slows time by 90% for 3.5 seconds.
If you’re playing aggressively, Kerenzikov is a must-own. Sliding in Cyberpunk 2077 certainly isn’t the same as sliding in Apex Legends. With Kerenzikov, however, you can still line up your shots if you’re sliding around a battle area. Plus, you can invest in Nanorelays later on — also in the nervous system — which will increase the effect of Kerenzikov by two seconds. If you’re more of a stealth player, consider the Synaptic Accelerator in this spot instead.
