The Lords of The Fallen lets you level up your character's stats throughout your journey, but improving these scores fast allows you to become incredibly powerful even before the first boss. Even if you pick certain classes, you'll have to improve their abilities to make a stronger build. Traveling around the world's early stages allows you to collect a resource that can be spent on level improvements very early.
You have six different Attributes that you have to spend Vigor on to level up: called Strength, Vitality, Faith, Endurance, Agility, and Luck. Vigor is a common resource dropped by enemies and bosses that Vestiges demand before you can upgrade your character. Even though classes like the Dark Crusader in Lords of the Fallen start with some high stats, spending Vigor is the only way to bolster your remaining Attributes.
How to Level Up Fast in Lords of the Fallen
Leveling up your character in Lords of the Fallen is not a difficult task but rather a bit of strategy. In the game, Vigor is used as an exchange currency, and you will need a lot of it. Plus, a bit of knowledge on how to invest it to achieve the best version of your character doesn’t hurt.
Vigor can be obtained by completing objectives. Defeat the game’s bosses and enemies you encounter along the way. While weaker enemies drop less stamina than the big bosses, accumulate as much as possible to level up in Lords of the Fallen.
Farm the Spike Head enemy near the Bellroom
I stumbled upon this farming spot on my first playthrough and kept coming back here for most of the game. At the Bellroom Vestige, which is the fifth Vestige in the game, there’s an enemy you can repeatedly kill for almost 500 Vigor a pop. You’ll need to destroy the Umbral Parasite with your lamp, but once the enemy is vulnerable, you can easily cheese it using magic or melee weapons.
The faster you can kill the enemy, the more Vigor you’ll get. When I found the farming spot in my early twenties, it netted me around 60,000 Vigor per hour. As a low-level Umbral caster, I used Lingering Despair to summon explosive traps, then kited the enemy through them. When I came back at a higher level, I earned over 100,000 Vigor per hour by two-shotting it with a projectile spell. Check out my video above to see just how fast, reliable, and easy this method really is.
Farm XP in the Umbral Realm
Suffice to say, farming in the Umbral realm is hectic due to non-stop spawning hostiles, but it needs to be done swiftly and at intervals. You’ll notice an XP multiplier at the top-right corner of your screen, which has the following values that increase over time:
1.10x
1.20x
2.00x
3.00x
I should warn you that the gap between each threshold/multiplier actually gets shorter. Upon reaching the 3.00x multiplier, a Revenant will spawn that prevents you from using your Sanguinarix flask. In my case, I usually do this when I need to earn a chunk of XP in a short span of time. I’d take out husk enemies until I see the 2.00x multiplier. Then, I make my way back to a nearby vestige waypoint so I could quickly return to the Axiom realm.
