Compared to FIFA 21, there will be many changes coming to FIFA 22, including FUT Champions, Weekend League and Division Rivals and more! Let's see in details!
Division Rivals
In the Division Rivals we have been used to the classic 10 divisions for some years now, in FIFA 22 we will find a new division that will be indicated with the letter M (or Elite). Division M is subdivided into 3 other divisions which will be indicated with the letters M1, M2 and M3. The placement will be decreed by the number of objectives that you will be able to complete over the course of the Season and by the Skill Rating. Only the best players in the world will land in this division and obviously, they will guarantee much more substantial rewards than those that we can redeem in the traditional divisions. Of course, qualifying for this Elite Division is a fundamental parameter to be able to access the Global Series. Seasons are much more related to Division Rivals, in fact at the end of each Season the positioning in the different divisions will also be reset. At the start of each Season, progression resets to a lower Division for all players. The Division a player rolls back to will depend on which Division they finished the previous Season in. Each Season will last approximately 6 Weeks.
FUT Champions
Weekend League is no more in FIFA 22 as FUT Champions will now be spread throughout the week rather than just over three days like in previous versions of the game. This year, the Champions Play-Offs and Finals will be introduced with qualification based on points rather than wins, meaning you can still progress if you lose. Champions Qualification Points will still be earned in Division Rivals and, once you earn enough points, you will be entered into the Play-Offs. Play-Off matches earn points towards Champion Ranks and Rewards and determine what you will get at the end of each six-week FUT Season. Earn enough points in the Champions Play-Offs and you will be awarded a Finals Qualification Token. This can be used whenever you want. The FUT Champions Finals is the new Weekend League and takes three days, but you can enter on any day rather than just on Fridays as in FIFA 21.
Elite Division
"The Elite Division is a new tier of competition beyond Division 1.”The Elite Division is where the best FUT players in the world can compete. Progression in the Elite Division changes to a Skill Rating system, which players might be familiar with from FUT 21. "All players in the Elite Division are ranked, based on their Skill Rating, with the top 200 appearing on the Global Leaderboard.”Once you’ve made it to the Elite Division, you will remain there throughout the rest of the current Season.
