League of Legends: Wild Rift was supposed to get its official launch in the early months of 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release kept getting delayed, and it finally seems that this title can have an official launch later this year. Recently, Wild Rift’s first official patch has been released, and it’s a credible big one. Waiting to get your hands on Wild Rift? The regional open beta is just about to launch in selected regions, so you don’t have to wait much longer. Let us take a look at the Wild Rift Patch 1.0 together!
Here are the complete patch notes for Wild Rift’s 1.0 update.
Regional Open Beta
The regional open beta will be on Oct. 27. Players in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Brunei, Laos, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste will have a lucky access to it.
You won’t need to sign up for a closed beta; just hop onto the Google Play or Apple App Store, download Wild Rift, and log in. Players in Europe and Oceania can expect to join in on the action in December. North American and South American players will be given access in 2021.
Temporary Downtime
We will be temporarily suspending iOS testing and disabling new downloads of Wild Rift shortly. The game will be available on Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store from Oct. 27.
Lee Sin and Other Six Champions
Lee Sin is the next champion being added to League of Legends: Wild Rift, Riot Games has confirmed following a quick sneak peek during the Apple event. As a classic LoL champion, Lee Sin’s Wild Rift kit is nearly identical to his PC version with just some minor tweaks to better fit the mobile MOBA genre. With his arrival comes two fresh skins Knockout Lee Sin and Muay Thai Lee Sin for all LS mains.
Six other champions also became available today, namely Akali, Evelynn, Kai’Sa, Seraphine, Darius, and Draven.
In-game Rewards
In South Korea and Japan, players can log in using their existing Riot Games accounts and earn rewards based on their time and monetary investment in League of Legends on PC (more info coming soon). For the other regions in the Closed Beta who may not have Riot accounts yet, you can create and link a Riot Account, and earn rewards like champs and skins later in the year.
