Sango Pearls are essential for players looking to ascend Inazuma characters, especially those from Watatsumi Island like Sangonomiya Kokomi. These valuable Character Ascension Materials, exclusive to the Inazuma region, require regular farming due to their 48-hour respawn time. Without gathering enough of these pink pearls, you won’t be able to fully level up your new Hydro healer. Knowing where to find and how to efficiently collect Sango Pearls ensures that your characters are well-prepared for the adventures in Teyvat.
But don’t worry; Sango Pearls are quite easy to find once you arrive on Watatsumi Island. Even without unlocking Watatsumi’s hidden areas, you’ll be able to farm a few dozen Sango Pearls in a relatively short amount of time. Let’s take a look at Sango Pearl's uses, how to find them, and the best Sango Pearl gathering locations.
Uses of Sango Pearls in Genshin Impact
If you've stumbled upon Sango Pearls in Genshin Impact and are unsure of their purpose, they are Ascension Materials required to level up the five-star Hydro character, Sangonomiya Kokomi. Currently, Sango Pearls aren’t used in any crafting recipes or weapon ascensions, but this could change in future updates. Even if the Sango Pearl isn’t part of any crafting recipes or Weapon Ascension requirements yet, this might change in the future. Even if you don’t have Kokomi on your Genshin Impact team, it can’t hurt to pick up a few Sango Pearls along the way.
How to Get Sango Pearls
Sango Pearls were introduced in Genshin Impact 2.1 and are exclusively found on Watatsumi Island. To start collecting them, you must meet a few prerequisites. First, your Adventure Rank must be at least 30. Then, you need to begin the “Setting Sail” Archon Quest in Liyue Harbor and progress through the main storyline until you complete “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia.” Afterward, you can sail to Watatsumi Island, located west of Fort Mumei on Yashiori Island.
With the release of Version 5.0 in Genshin Impact, players are treated to a wealth of new content, including fresh maps, events, characters, and challenges. This update brings a deeper dive into the lore and introduces exciting gameplay mechanics that are sure to engage both new and returning players. For those looking to jump right into the action without starting from scratch, buying a Genshin Impact Account is an option some players consider.
Where to Find Sango Pearls
Sango Pearls respawn every three days in real-time. To fully ascend Kokomi, you'll need a total of 168 Sango Pearls, requiring you to visit farming locations multiple times. Below are some key locations to farm Sango Pearls:
1. Suigetsu Pool: This area contains five Sango Pearls, but they are hidden underground. You'll need to solve puzzles and drain the water to access them. Once you do, teleport to the nearby Domain for easy collection.
2. Highest Concentration Area: This area has the most Sango Pearls on Watatsumi Island. Begin at the northern Teleport Waypoint and glide down to spot the pink shells. Follow the riverbed south, staying left of the waterfalls, to gather all twelve.
3. Waterfall Locations: Starting from the high rock between the suspension bridges, you can find two Sango Pearls. Glide eastward to find more pink shells below, and collect the remaining pearls nearby.
4. Glide Down Locations: From the Teleport Waypoint southeast of this area, glide down to spot Sango Pearls on the round island between waterfalls. There are also more on the southern coast of the nearby Long Island.
5. Moon-Bathed Deep Quest Area: Unfortunately, this location is locked until you complete “The Moon-Bathed Deep” World Quest. The quest, initiated by talking to Tsuyuko near Mouun Shrine, leads you to a cave where you can find about eight Sango Pearls.
These are the primary locations for finding Sango Pearls in Genshin Impact, some of which are hidden while others are more easily accessible. By gliding, fighting enemies, and thoroughly exploring these areas, you can efficiently gather these pearls to ascend your characters, especially Sangonomiya Kokomi. As you collect Sango Pearls, you’ll be better equipped to strengthen your team and take on the challenges that await in Teyvat. Of course, if you find yourself running low on in-game resources, Top Up Genshin Impact Genesis Crystals can be a valuable strategy, which can significantly enhance your gameplay!
