Dictatorship… cough, the doctor is in! Citizens, keep calm; the Mobile Medical Unit is on the case. Keep voting for El Presidente, or else?!
As a contagious disease spreads across the paradisiacal islands in the Tropico 6 – Going Viral DLC, the fate of your nation hangs in the balance. As the distinguished president, you are the one controlling the pandemic; utilize dict… diplomatic measures and new additions like "Mobile Medical Units", "Medical Checkpoints", "Super Hospitals" and "Medicinal Grenades" to manage your people.
Now, your priority is to find a cure at any cost and prevent panic amongst your islanders. Perhaps… you could use it… well, for the good of the nation? At least consider it, as panic spreads, you have more options to enact enticing ordinances to control your subjects and influence the populace. But a good president must remember – dead citizens can't vote for you!
• Find the cure with Tropico 6 – Going Viral: 4 different diseases plague the islands, disrupting the everyday life of the citizens; some of them could severely affect your population, while others are just a little cough *cough cough*.
• Be the mastermind and control a campaign with 4 missions, or battle against the disease in a brand new multiplayer map.
• Keep calm… or not! Influence the populace with the new "Panic" mechanic. The "Panic meter" measures how the citizens of the Tropico islands feel about these diseases. High panic allows for authoritative ordinance enactment. Should you issue warnings, and use the situation with strong ordinances, or should you let the people remain calm in the face of possible deadly threats?
• Inoculate first, ask questions later: As your panic meter keeps rising, a series of 16 tantalizing ordinances are unlocked, giving you diverse options to utilize the disease on the islands: inoculate first, ask questions later, enforce mask mandates, or choose to suit up for a viral palace party; it's all up to you, El Presidente!
• Manage the disease: 9 new buildings will change the way you manage the island and respond to the pandemic and diseases. Use "Medicinal Grenades" to quickly distribute medication to your islanders, or build new "Super Hospitals" to improve your medical capacity and install "Medical Checkpoints" on the streets to pinpoint infected citizens.
Furthermore, a strange quack will help you manage the diseases in "Ambrosia's Magic Hut" during the campaign.
• Take on the fight against the pandemic in style, with new design options for El Presidente and the Palace! With El Presidente's Plague Doctor or the Palace's Medical Fence, your fight against the pandemic will surely be a success.
