Ubisoft officially announced that the "Watch Dogs: Legion" Multiplayer mode will be officially launched on March 9th for free on all platforms. Players have the opportunity to race against friends in the streets of London, carry out various fierce new cooperative tasks and challenges, or gather some street performers to participate in parties and impromptu performances. Multiplayer also includes PVP gameplay.
This free extra mode of the game will be separate from your single player progression, so when you start playing multiplayer you will start again in London from scratch. However, Ubisoft says that the online mode offers fast-Dead Sec recruitment using influence points.
The free update includes a four-player Tactical Op, which consists of five connected missions. Ubisoft says this is endgame content for players looking for a challenge, so it's probably best to make sure that you've recruited a high-quality team of characters and you have upgraded your gadgets before taking on the Leader of the Pack operation.
Aside from co-op missions, the multiplayer patch will also introduce the game’s first PVP experience in the form of a Spiderbot Arena. Four players can join the battle, controlling weaponized spiderbots in a machine-on-machine deathmatch.
As expected, the more you play and progress, the more experience points you’ll gain, allowing you to rank up and unlock all kinds of rewards within the online mode. Ubisoft also says that more characters, co-op missions and PVE gameplay will arrive through free updates later this year.
You'll be able to explore with your buddies, take on challenges and encounter events throughout the city. There'll be co-op missions for up to four players.
