There will be a big update for FIFA 22, bringing Female Virtual Pros, Player Archetypes and more to this newest series! The Pro Clubs will allow you to play as women for the first time!
The Pro Clubs mode is set to get a host of new features for FIFA 21, including new customisation features that will make FIFA 22 the most inclusive edition of the FIFA franchise to date.
Pro Clubs is one of the most enjoyable and popular game modes within the FIFA fanbase, however, it hasn't received a major update in years.
The concept of the online game mode is to create a Virtual Pro player and play in a certain position in a replication of a real football team. The goal is to help your team go up the 10 divisions and win Division One whilst developing your pro along the way.
Pro Clubs mode is the mode where you create and customize your own pro footballer character and join teams of up to 11 players to take on other teams. Female and male player characters can play on the same team together. The ability to select your character’s gender was leaked a few weeks ago but confirmed in a recent video showing off the feature on YouTube.
You could play as a woman in previous FIFA titles, but only in international teams and Volta mode. Electronic Arts has said that inclusion is an important part of this FIFA title. One hopes that further inclusion includes adding female teams in future games, if not FIFA 22 itself. A few weeks ago, it announced it’d added Alex Scott as its first female English-speaking commentator.
FIFA 22 will launch on October 1 across PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Anyone that pre-orders the game early can gain access from September 27, 2021. Pre-orders before August 11 will also include 4600 FIFA points and the Kylian Mbappé Loan item.
The long-overdue move will see players able to customize a female player on Pro Clubs for the first time ever, with the game mode also set to feature drop in games with up to 4 friends, heat maps and greater stadium customization.
