Dark Depths is a pre-dungeon upgrade raid for World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery. Baron Aquinis is a water elemental guarding the entrance to the Dark Abyss and the first boss of the Dark Abyss. He remains stationary and will engage the party from a set of semi-submerged ruins. WoW Classic Season of Discovery Gold will improve your combat capabilities and easily eliminate Baron Aquinis. So how do we defeat Baron Aquinis?
Baron Aquanis Primary Abilities
Baron Aquanis has a total of four skills, which are very destructive, so try to avoid them in the game.
Greater Frostbolt: Inflicts 185 frost damage and slows the target by 40%.
Bubble Beam: 10 second cast, knocks back anyone hit by it in front of Baron Aquanis.
Depth Charge: Debuff that once it expires inflicts 231 frost/arcane damage and knocks back anyone within a close.
Torrential Downpour: Area of effect over a target, inflicts 115 damage every 2 seconds to anyone standing in it.
Baron Aquanis Strategy
Baron Aquinis sat motionless on top of a pile of rubble, passive until the three bottomless stones scattered around his chamber were activated. Once that's done, he's very likable. Before engaging in combat, be sure to clear the room of other players who are not teammates, as the raid is likely to drag them along during the encounter, causing some hindrance to the team.
When pulling the boss, team members should run in and spread out across the various platforms to mitigate the damage from its fourth skill, Downpour. When the raid starts taking damage to the team's tanks, your tanks should be establishing a threat. Its Deep Water Charge skill will be applied to a random team member 15 seconds after the battle begins. It is an area of effect skill and once exposed to it, the player should jump into the water to get away from other players, otherwise everyone near them will be knocked back far and possibly fall into the water. 30 seconds after being pulled, Baron Aquinis will cast Bubble Beam and begin to slowly rotate in a clockwise direction, knocking back anyone standing in front of him within melee range. Your melees and tanks should move behind the boss and turn with him and always stay behind him so they don't take damage from abilities. Ranged DPS and healers need to be aware of Downpour, and if you see it coming above you, stay away from it as the damage it causes is entirely avoidable.
Battle skills
Tank Tips: Baron Aquinis only casts Ice Bolt in his first skill, physical damage reduction is meaningless, any frost resistance you have helps a lot here.
Watch out for the Bubble Beam, if you don't move quickly behind the boss you'll be knocked down and he'll do an Ice Bolt attack on another target.
Melee Tips: Watch out for the bubble beam and purposely stay behind the boss to avoid it. If debuffed by Deep Water Charge, jump into the water, let it pop out, then run back to the platform. If you get hit, look for bubbles near the bottom of the water to increase your swimming speed to help you get back into action.
Ranged Tips: Avoid damage from the downpour by moving left and right. You can also continue to attack if you are knocked into the water.
Healer Tips: To avoid the damage of the downpour, it is recommended to bring AOE healing runes instead of single runes, because almost all damage received in the battle is caused by the team.
The Dark Abyss is the partially submerged ruins of an ancient elven temple. You can obtain cloth, leather and other items by clearing this instance. I hope the above strategies can effectively help you defeat Baron Aquinis. Of course, you can also use Cheap WoW Classic SOD Gold to buy more powerful weapons to increase your damage output. I wish you a happy game in the Dark Depths dungeon.
