1.The seller provides basic account information
The seller is required to provide the following information:
1.1Account login certificate:
Account and current password (it is recommended that the seller set a temporary password for buyers to modify).
(Using Microsoft as an Example)
1.2 Binding Information:
The current binding mailbox, mobile phone number, and relevant verification means (auxiliary mailbox, security question answer, etc.).
(Using Microsoft as an Example)
1.3 two-factor Authentication Information:
If two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled, the seller is required to assist with the verification code required for login. (Sellers can also turn off two-factor verification and the validator application before trading)
(Using Microsoft as an Example)
1.4 Other Auxiliary Information:
The associated account (such as Epic account tied to Steam) or the relevant platform on which to log in.(The seller can cancel the associated account or relevant platform before the transaction)
2. Buyer verifies account status
After receiving the account information, the buyer is required to perform the following operations:
2.1 Login Account:
Using the login credentials provided by the seller, try to log in to the account. If two-factor verification is enabled, work with the seller to complete the verification code.
2.2 Checking Account Contents:
Check whether the account's game assets, subscription services, virtual currency, etc. are in line with the seller's promises. Confirm whether the account has a blocking record or penalty status.
3. Modify the core information of the account
After successful login, the buyer should modify the following information to ensure the security of the account:
3.1 Changing a Password
Set a strong password that contains upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters, and avoid using the same password as other accounts.
3.2 Modifying a Bound Mailbox
Change to buyer's personal email:
Ensure that email verification is complete and that email information is kept safe. If an account uses an auxiliary mailbox, modify or unbind the auxiliary mailbox.
3.3 Modifying a Binding Phone
Change the bound phone number to the buyer's phone number and make sure you receive the verification code.
3.4 Enabling Two-factor Authentication
Buyers re-enable two-factor authentication (2FA) and bind to their own device or Authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.).
(Using Microsoft as an Example)
3.5 In order to ensure the security of the account for some products, the account information is modified with a safe cooling time, which is subject to the time provided by the seller. If the user triggers other security authentication when modifying the account information after the security period expires, the seller needs to provide assistance.
4. Check associated accounts and functions
4.1 Cancel or confirm an associated account
If the account is linked to another platform account (e.g. PlayStation and Epic, Steam and Battle.net, etc.), determine if these associations have an impact on the transaction.
Disassociate if necessary, or transfer the associated account rights to the buyer.
4.2 Removing Subaccounts and Sharing Functions
Check whether the account is a subaccount or is in a shared state (e.g. family sharing group, parental custody).
Remove the following:Sub-account rights and parental monitoring (to ensure the buyer has full control of the account).
