Chaos Marine Aurora Boss in Warhammer 40K Chapter 1
In the final moments of Chapter 1 of Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader, when attempting to return to your ship, you'll be attacked by a powerful boss, Chaos Marine Aurora. You have clashed with the cult leader earlier in the game, but this time the boss is much more formidable.
The opponent will have minions to help him in battle, and additionally, can summon more of them during the clash. Before the fight happens, make sure that your party members have some grenades, bombs, and medkits at the ready.
How to Defeat Chaos Marine Aurora Boss
Your first battle with Aurora in Warhammer 4oK: Rogue Trader takes place at the Electrodynamic Cenobium. Once you have located the priests, they open a passage that leads you to Aurora. You’re unable to hurt her directly due to a barrier, with several enemy reinforcements appearing. A notification indicating the number of rounds you have appears at the top of your screen. If it reaches zero, you lose the battle.
To buy yourself more time, you can see several Electro Priests standing near reactors. Defeating them will give you an additional round on your timer. Split your companions into two teams of three and send them down both sides of the battlefield. Having Abelard and Pasqal in each team makes it easier to clear a path.
Always prioritize the Electro Priests over other enemies; you must buy time to complete the battle. The timer disappears after defeating all the Electro Priests, allowing you to mop up the other enemies. Aurora will be vulnerable afterwards and the battle ends.
Your goal, in essence, is to split up your forces to take down all enemies on the left and right sides of the room. However, there’s a hidden mechanic that the game strangely doesn’t tell you. You’ll notice a handful of Electro-Priests around the room surrounded by heretics. For every Electro-Priest you kill, you’ll increase the rounds before reactor detonation by one. Because of this, the Electro-Priests should be your priority targets.
As for how you should engage this battle, I highly suggest having one Warrior with the Charge ability on each side if possible. This will let you rush into battle and quickly take down an Electro-Priest if things get hairy. For example, I ran Abelard, my Rogue Trader, and Cassia on one side of the room, with Argenta, Heinrix, and Pasqal on the other side of the room. From there, I slowly progressed my way up either side of the room and took out whoever I could.
With a plan like that in mind, the fight should become a lot easier. Remember not to send your frontline too far in too quickly unless you have Endure to help them tank whatever might immediately focus them.
Once you beat the last Cultist/Electro-Priest, you will teleport next to Aurora and talk a bit. After she spews a bit of cultists propaganda your way, she will electrify herself, ending the fight.
You will also find another shard of the unholy sword, which you will have to decide what to do with based on your conviction.
You can experiment the guidance and try to beat Chaos Marine Aurora Boss earlier than others. Players can Buy Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader Accounts to experience this great game and start your adventure with your friends.
