Release Date of WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.1 Embers of Neltharion
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the launch of the highly anticipated World of Warcraft (WoW) content update, Dragonflight Embers of Neltharion, on May 2. The update promises to take players on an exhilarating adventure through the Dragon Isles, introducing a new zone, cross-faction guilds, and much more.
New Contents in WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.1
New Zone: Zaralek Cavern
A new Zone is being introduced with Dragonflight's Embers of Neltharion patch, Zaralek Cavern. This underground zone will be found on the eastern side of the Ohn'ahran Plains near Valdrakken and can be reached by flying through a tunnel. These Zaralek Caverns are where Neltharion hid some of his experiments, and now are home to the tribes of the Niffen mole people and Drogbar, who seem to live side by side in relative harmony. Within the Zaralek Cavern players will also find a new World Boss duo, the Zaqali Elders, who present a challenging fight but also some impressive loot drops.
Fyrrak Assaults
Fyrakk’s forces are gathering resources at Suffusion Camps located in the Azure Span and Ohn’ahran Plains. It’s up to the heroes of Azeroth to disrupt their efforts to lure Fyrakk and his disciples out.
Meet New Allies
As the heroes of Azeroth pursue enemies into the dangers of Zaralek Cavern, they are aided by the local inhabitants found under the Dragon Isles — the molefolk known as “Niffen” and the Drogbar.
New Raid: Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible
The new raid arriving with the second season of Dragonflight is Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, and it's located in the Zaralek Cavern, the new underground zone. All raid difficulties will unlock on the same weekly reset, instead of being staggered as they have been in past expansions.
While there aren't many details yet, here are the names of the nine raid bosses found in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible:
Kazzara
Molgoth
Experimentation of the Dracthyr
Zaqali Invasion
Rashok
Zskarn
Magmorax
Neltharion
Scalecommander Sarkareth
The most notable of these bosses is, of course, Neltharion, who went on to become Deathwing. The Crucible is meant to be the place where the former leader of the black dragonflight gave in to the voices of the Old Gods and went mad, so it's not so surprising to see him appear as a boss here.
New Gearing System
Seeing how players have to juggle between all different types of currency like Valor and Elemental Overflow to gear up, Blizzard created a unified gearing system for Patch 10.1. In a nutshell, the system is an experiment for the duration of season two and it will use two new currencies—Flightstones and Shadowflame Crests.
While Flightstones can be earned by completing world quests, killing rares, running Mythic+ dungeons, or killing a raid boss, Shadowflame Crests and their fragments will come from open-world content, Mythic+ dungeons, and raids. You’ll be able to upgrade almost any piece of gear with these currencies, except crafted, PvP, and top-end gear that already reached maximum item level and stats.
We have listed some main contents in the coming WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.1. There are also other interesting things in the patch, which are waiting for players to explore.
