Within the casual strategy game, there are 34 monsters, 22 modifiers, and 12 different spells. Modifiers are randomly assigned at the start of each game, while spells are unlocked as players progress. Matches involve collecting as many gems as possible in a 10-player online setting, with gems obtained by defeating monsters, cutting down trees, searching bushes, destroying crates, collecting coins, and defeating opponents. The player holding the most gems when time runs out is the winner. 

At the beginning of each match, players select one of three random characters from their collection. To acquire additional characters during the match, players must collect coins, which can be found in the same ways as gems. Once enough coins are gathered, players can approach a chest that requires a specific number of coins—this number increases based on the number of characters already in the squad. Opening the chest allows players to choose one of three random characters. Occasionally, players may find "mega" characters in chests; these characters are significantly stronger than regular ones but are consumable and deplete upon use. More mega units can be obtained through the pass or in-app purchases.

Characters in a player's possession form a group that moves together. Surrounding the group is an "attack area," within which any objects, monsters, or enemies will be attacked if the group is stationary. If players select three identical characters, they merge into a single, larger character.
